With a 25+ year history of national, regional, and local success, the Amador Valley High School Guard program supports two competitive scholastic Guards, competing in Winter Guard International (WGI) and the California Color Guard Circuit (CCGC).

The Winter Guard season begins in mid-November (right after marching season ends) and runs through early April. New members are welcome — no prior dance or gymnastics experience required. 

Varsity Winter Guard practices Mondays and Wednesdays, 6–9pm, and some Saturdays, 10am-2pm. JV Winter Guard practices Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6–9pm, and some Saturdays, 3–7pm. Competitions are held on Saturdays.
