The Amador Winter Percussion program has earned national, regional, and local accolades for more than 20 years through award-winning performances in Winter Guard International (WGI) and the Northern California Percussion Alliance (NCPA). Awarded first place at the NCPA championships in 2016 and second place in 2017, Amador Valley High School Winter Percussion regularly medals at local circuit competitions and is consistently selected as a finalist in the WGI regional competition.

The Winter Percussion season begins in mid-November (right after marching season ends) and runs through early April. New members are welcome. 

Varsity Winter Percussion practices three times a week (9 hours). JV Winter Percussion practices twice a week (3.5 hours). Competitions are held on Saturdays.
