Amador Valley H.S. Music

The Amador Valley High School Music Program consists of five Concert Bands – two Wind Ensembles,  Wind Syphonies, and Symphonic Band.  The Amador Valley Music program also includes three Jazz Bands (Jazz A, Jazz B, and Workshop), two Orchestras and several Choir ensembles, including Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Women's Choir, Mixed Vocal Ensemble and Men's Ensemble.  The Guard and Percussion units perform in two Winterguards and Winter Percussion units.

Marching Band & Colorguard

The Marching Dons are a voluntary organization consisting of over 300 students each year.  The band has been a Western Band Association (WBA) State Finalist every year since 2005 and are a Bands of America (BOA) Regional Finalist at each regional they have attended. Additionally the band has twice appeared in the London New Year’s Day Parade and the Fiesta Bowl National Band Championships and Parade, winning the field show portion in 2016.

The band has a long tradition of excellence dating back almost 100 years to the opening of the school in 1923. Serving as the largest single activity on campus, the members of the band proudly serve as musical and cultural ambassadors for the school and the city of Pleasanton.
