The Amador Friends of Music (AFM) is recognized as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. As the community booster organization in support of the music ensembles at Amador Valley High School, the objective of AFM is to "lend all possible support, both moral and financial to the Amador Valley High School music department; to cooperate with and assist those in charge of the music department; and to promote the general activities of the music department in order to provide a positive experience for the Amador Valley High School students." If you are a parent or guardian of a student in the AVHS music program, the answer is Yes! Each member has an equal voting right at membership meetings.
"What do AFM members do?" You are entitled and encouraged to attend General Membership meetings, where you will meet other AFM members and vote on important expenditures and issues. Most importantly to the success of the organization, members volunteer. Please say "Yes" to on-going needs for volunteers. Fun guaranteed!
