The Amador Friends of Music annually sponsors these major events which welcome the greater community to Amador Valley High School and Pleasanton for performance, competition and fundraising.  Visitors to this site are welcome to explore the details of these events, and to register, volunteer and attend them for some of the finest musical performances in Northern California.

 

 
  • Campana Jazz Festival   ( 4 Articles )

    The 36th Annual Campana Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton.  Named in honor of Mr. Jim Campana, AVHS Music Director from 1959 through 1979, the Campana Jazz Festival is one of the highlights of the Pleasanton Unified School District’s musical year.

     

     

  • The Annual Magic of Music   ( 4 Articles )

    The Magic of Music is THE annual fundraising event for the Amador Friends of Music. It replaces many smaller fundraisers (candy sales, car washes, etc.) with one Fun night with far greater rewards!  It includes an upscale dinner, dancing, silent auction, live auction, games, and excellent musical entertainment provided by our own students!  Over 6 years, the Magic of Music has raised more than $213,000 to support the music program at Amador Valley High School.
