Event Participation Fundraising

You can earn dollars for your student's account by volunteering to work for donations at concerts at the Concord Pavilion, the Scottish Games, and other events at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

Would you like to earn money for your student's AFM account at the Concord Pavilion selling beverages during concerts? Amador Friends of Music receives a percentage of sales for the events we work, and that is divided between the parents working each event. On average a parent can expect to earn about $70-$100 per event; 90% of that goes to the student's AFM account, and the remaining 10% goes to the general fund.

Concerts run from April 30
and usually go until September. New parents must complete a T.I.P.S training class at the Pavilion before they can begin to work.

Please contact Steve Worth with questions or to sign-up!  Thank you!

Scottish Highland Games Volunteer Opportunities -

Make Money for Your Student Account!

Here is an opportunity to make money for your student account! Work a four-hour shift at the Scottish Games selling programs at the entrance gates.

The Games are at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4th and 5th. Any family member can work, and if two or more work, more money goes to your account! You may request as many shifts or days as you like; we will accommodate as many different families as possible.

For each shift, you will be provided with admission to the event and a meal coupon, as well as bottled water.  So you get lunch and a half-day at the games for free!  Please email Leanna Olberg if you are interested.

You can learn more about the games here:
